In January 2010 Ebortec Ltd was acquired by Europa Crown Ltd.
The original independent company, founded in 1993 by Ray Cook and Don Sewell, supplied equipment, consultancy and engineering designs to clients in many parts of the world. Completed projects ranged from small modifications to full design and project management of full refineries on green field sites. This design expertise and experience is now integrated with that of Europa Crown Limited with Don Sewell becoming a member of staff. Ray Cook will continue as a part-time consultant to Europa Crown Ltd.
Through an innovative approach to problem solving and plant design Ebortec were granted patents in the UK and USA for pre-stripping and deodorising tray designs.
Ebortec was awarded a SMART award in 1998 for innovative design of deodorising plant.
